I got really tempted to buy a Colourette Colourbalm when it was relaunched in February 2023 but I haven’t decided on what shade to get yet so I waited a bit before purchasing, also the price point is above the average price for similar products (tinted lip balms) but not many are in liquid form and it just looks so juicy and hydrating so I thought I really need to get one. Well, I finally purchased one in the shade Slushie in March 2023!

Here are my thoughts:

• I like the new packaging. They used a lip gloss bottle this time compared to the squeeze tube they had on the first version of colourbalms
• the improved applicator design is great as it can evenly coat the lips with the product faster in one swipe
• the consistency of the product is not sticky or runny, just enough that it glides easily on the lips
• you can get a sheer finish if you only apply a small amount which makes your lips look hydrated or a glossy finish if you add more to your lips to make it look juicy and shiny.
• it does soothe and hydrate dry, flaky and chapped lips
• it has a faint smell of a typical makeup product scent
